As I mention in the podcast, I am a big foodie and in this podcast I reflect on two of my favorite “food” shows – Feasting on Asphalt with Alton Brown and Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. The thing that fascinates me about both shows and both hosts is that it is just ongoing evidence is that “postmodern” has more to do with perspective than age. These guys are as real as they get and in their search for regional/world food, what you really get is food for the soul that we have often forgotten in our McChurches.

    Hi Tom.
I’ve been listening to WJ since show 9 or 10 and really appreciate your thought provoking exploration of Christianity for the wired world. Your views hit home, time after time as my own journey continues. Thank you.

Quick word on the latest show. Apart from the intro it seems to be 17 mins of silence. Not sure if this is you testing your listeners to see who notices or a PM attempt to allow your listeners to create their own narrative in the space you’ve provided 😉

Keep it up Tom. The postings may be infrequent but they’re of great value to me. You’ve remained on my subs list when others have fallen by the wayside.
    Cheers

Never too embarrassed to admit a tech blooper, I’d somehow managed to hit mute and am now happily listening to the episode. Thanks again Tom. Keep challenging.

I did some checking before I got your second post and what I did discover is that the embedded player plays the files at a high speed, making me sound like I’ve sucking helium. So the preview player is now off. Either subscribe to the RSS link or click on the two download podcast options.

    And thanks for listening, Mark.

Tom, I just finally listened to your last Pod. It was a very meaningful time. Yes, it it way to often we want to quick fix, vs taking the time to find what is right. As you know we have seen that all to often. Please keep it up. As always, looking forward to the next.
