After a week of rest and coaching down in Florida, here’s a brand new podcast for the new year. Every notice the culture shift that takes place when you walk into Disney. There’s an attitude that everyone shares that helps make it “the happiest place on earth.”
Now consider the culture shift that takes place when you go to a sporting event like the Superbowl. Its now the most competitive, trash talking place on earth. Its your team, all or nothing, and the other team is to be destroyed and your own coach and players are fair game if they don’t do what you want.
So what is the church most like? If you are connected to the postmodern world, you’ve already checked out of pro sports. You probably have also checked out of the church for the same reasons.
Enjoy a different take on what authenticity means.
Now for the weirdness.

And its real. Not what I was intending with the podcast but it makes you think.

Great episode. Love the analogy. Have hope. In the last 15 months I’ve left a Superbowl congregation, wandered a bit, then stumbled upon and joined a Disney congregation.
